After Dive

After Dive is a documentary about the final year of Tania Cagnotto and Francesca Dallapè’s career. These two women are widely recognised as the most successful European pairing in the history of synchronised diving.

The film follows the two childhood friends, icons and symbols of synchronisation as they return to competitive diving after having children, pursuing their dream of a sixth Olympics as young mothers.

Through the training and competition footage, as well as some of the most significant moments in their career, After Dive paints a picture of these two athletes and their relationship, personal as well as professional. It outlines the similarities and differences between the two women in that delicate transitional moment before they retire from competitive sport.
